How to Measure for Best Fit
All denim at Green Apple is considered to have "designer sizing". Designer sizing is typically smaller than classical apparel sizing as one may find at stores like The Gap or Abercrombie. On all denim products, you will notice measurements in the description such as front rise, back rise, inseam, leg opening, and thigh. Instructions on how to obtain these measurements are given below. Following these simple measurement guidelines will help insure you order the correct size and get the best fit. Please do not hesitate to contact customer service if you have sizing questions.
|
Waist Measurement:
1. Lay the jeans flat on the floor as seen in the picture below.
2. Pull the waist so the front and back line up parallel. Make sure there is no gapping of the front waist below the back.
3. Using a tape measure, take the waist measurement as indicated in the picture below.
4. Double this measurement. This doubled measurement is the actual waist size of the jeans.
Here is an example: We took a size 26 jean, measured the waist, and got a 14 ½" measurement. We doubled the number and got 29. Our waist waist measurement of 29 is 3 inches larger than the actual size given for the jeans. If you measured the waist of your own jeans that fit you well and got 31, then you would subtract 3 from this to get 28. You should then order a size 28 in this particular style.
Front Rise:
Measure from the crotch seam vertically to the top of the waist band above the button
Back Rise:
Measure from the crotch seam vertically to the top of the back waistband.
Inseam:
Measure from the crotch inseam following the leg seam to the hem.
Leg Opening:
1. Lay the jeans flat as you would for the waist measurement. Pull the leg opening so the front and back hems line straight.
2. Measure straight across hemline.
3. Double the measurement. |

*If you are considering multiple jeans, make sure to use these methods for each pair to determine the correct size. Even within the same brand the sizing can vary.* |
